Happy New Year!

Lisa came to visit with her new baby girl Olivia! Olivia is 3 months old and came in from California to visit her grandparents. Lisa  worked at Tutto Bene when she was just 16 years old, and now she is the mother of a beautiful baby girl.  We were all excited to see her even Violet who was not sure what to make of the whole situation! The pictures are of Barbara holding Olivia - Lisa next to her and Violet jumping up to make sure all is well.    Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!

Holiday Finds!

We have so many wonderful things for the holidays! fall is in the air

Fall is in the air! We have wonderful leopard vests.  A great leopard raincoat on one side the other side a lovely brown. Cords in all colors! Cashmere and cotton sweaters coming in every week and wonderful clean side zip winter weight pants. The flowers in the window box are lovely stop by or call if you need anything!

We have so many new items in the store. We have leopard in vest, coats, bags... all different but all great. Just got in a big shipment of cords in Black, Brown, Camel, Navy wonderful fit and great colors. I promise I will take photo's this week and post them.

Faux Fur

Well we were lucky with the hurricane many trees down but not as bad as it could have been .... but it seems we are having torrential rains quite often lately! Even with all the inclement weather we are still getting in new items everyday. Just arrived for the second time these vests which have been selling very well. Green faux fur is $150.00 the leopard faux vest is $138.00 and the wool flannel/leather bags are $130.00. Sure to put a smile on your face when you try these items on!

irene

WELL - last week we had a minor earth quake... and today or tonight we are due for the hurricane Irene to come up the east coast. Quite a week! Here are pictures of our front window boarded up and taped in case the winds whip through main street! It is unfortunate because we only have two weekends left of the summer. But you can not fight with mother nature.  Let us hope everything will be OK and everyone will stay safe!  Next week I will show some wonderful fall clothes that have just come in to the store!

new merchandise arriving

It has been a very busy summer and now we are starting to get the new fall merchandise in. So to make room for fall most of the summer clothing is on sale! 30% off or more. This lovely girl decided to try on our stretch rings or at least as many that would fit her fingers! which we sell all year round- they are $2.00 for the small size and $4.00 for the larger size. I think they look great all together don't you? Corduroy pants are coming in as are faux fur vests and jackets cashmere sweaters and of course our beautiful shawls ... but don't worry we still have a lot of summer left to enjoy!

black and white

Barbara just did a beautiful black and white window...OK ... maybe there is a bit of color in there too. We have lovely sun dresses in all colors for this hot weather. Jack Rogers classic sandals, in gold - orange and natural to show off great tans.  Even though we are not supposed to get tan any longer... it still feels good to have a bit of of a glow. Wonderful straw and cotton hats. Linen jackets to wear with black or white jeans. Great summer jeweler and much much more. Stop by.  

July 4th

Just did the window for July 4th... the store is filled with so many beautiful things! Wonderful skirts, cool summer dresses when the weather is less than perfect. Espadrilles , straw totes, great beach hats, T- shirts in every color you can think of ... stop by if you are out for the weekend.  Let's hope for beach weather!

some summer tunics

The store is FULL and looks great!... so many new things came in that I will only name a few and try to post two more this week. This is the season that we get new arrivals everyday - which is why our customers stop in at least once a week to see what is new!  In the photo's are Gretchen Scott tunics that just came in - embroidered light cottons perfect for hot weather  - cost 112.00 in all colors and sizes. We also have beautiful tunics from In Things in cottons embroidered and jeweled starting at 98.00 to 180.00
And our window box has was just replanted with summer flowers and is beautiful!!

The lisa b. espadrilles came in yesterday! they have a slight wedge and come in the three colors that you see - full sizes only. Definitely a must as soon as it stops RAINING! which I am sure it will soon?...
the bag in the back is one of the Italian woven from Florence - a perfect size for a summer evening which also comes in a variety of colors.

Well the season is starting! It has been a very busy week and everyday we get in new merchandise. Above are Fabrizio Gianni jeans in a cotton twill they come in the palest of pink and white. $175.00 Beautiful linen tunics in White, pale blue, pale yellow $122.00
Our art show was very successful - we actually sold quite a few which was wonderful! The show will come down this Monday the 9th but we will have two on display behind the desk for the month of May which of course are for sale.  Enjoy the spring weather!

Chandler Bigelow

This Sat. April 30th at the store we are having an art opening of Chandler Bigelow's paintings. They capture the light and beauty of the east end of long island which is what made me want to show them  in the store. Please stop by if you have time  between 5 and 7 PM. and join us for a glass prosecco.

Just got in Toms- classic in navy, natural, chocolate at $44.00 and his new wedge in Tie dye denim, beige/grey at $69.00 the belts are stretch raffia and come in with black or brown leather at  $128.00.

Italian scarf

Hillary Clinton was shown in an Italian pleated scarf from our store in the April 4th 2011 issue of People Magazine. The article was titled "On the road again and again"  Spring colors are appearing on everyone and the flowers are starting to bloom - spring is in the air.

blooms

I know that you all saw the coat in the last post but I wanted everyone to see how beautiful the window box is coming.... flowers are starting to bloom. Our wonderful friend Tish who owns Gardenering has been doing our window box since the day we opened our doors. And has made it the envy of the street. And since Violet was in one of our posts I had to put Rickey our store cat sunning himself out in our back stone patio. Remember how much snow was piled up on those outdoor chairs this winter?  Spring is in the air.

We just got in some of our rain jackets. The orange and periwinkle duster is a waxed linen comes in sizes  S - L; costs $195.00 The rain jacket on the mannikin comes in iridescent salmon and  blue that is in the photo - both are reversible and cost $170.00 Again the sizes are S - L.
The raspberry cashmere sweater in the window is $365.00 the colors are also lavender, black and beige. Everyday new items arrive I will try to take photo's and post them.

violet

We are busy including Violet - unpacking boxes and doing the window. Our first weekend open was a big success and it was great to see some of our favorite people. Wonderful sweaters have arrived and of course our pants that everyone loves are in - black, brown, sand, and silver! some wonderful jewelry has come in - long necklaces in wonderful shades of blue and creamy whites ... stop by. And the best news is the web site is up!!!

Unpacking boxes for the reopening!

Well we are back at the store setting everything up! Beautiful bags and scarves arrived from Italy. Cashmere sweaters have come in - some crew, some oversized wraps some longer, all luxurious and in great colors.  We will be officially opened on Friday April 1st... but are in the store almost everyday this week unpacking and arranging. Please stop by if you have a moment.

spring cleaning

OK- The floor is painted and everything sparkles. We are unpacking new spring merchandise and may be reopen by this coming weekend! Calling some of our venders to ship early because the weather has been so beautiful. Spring always feels so full of promise. A wonderful feeling to have.

Italy

Just returned from Firenze and as always it was beautiful! The dollar was very weak against the euro- but I was able to buy some beautiful bags and belts and scarves for the store. the boxes have already arrived from Italy and we are starting to unpack them! We will reopen with them the first week in April. After we unpack everything we will start the spring cleaning of the store and the painting of the floor for the new season. Spring is in the air and it feels wonderful! See you in April!

March

Spring is just around the corner...well maybe not as close as these blossoms show but soon! We will be closed for 3 to 4 weeks in March- to paint and clean and open up the store again with beautiful spring merchandise!
