winter storm Dec. 26th

The store only opened for a few hours today. We are getting hit with  winter storm..this is a photo now but the worst is yet to come. It may snow all night and into tomorrow. Every one out this way seems to be off the roads and are staying home. The store  closed at 2:30 today hopefully if the weather breaks and the snow stops we will reopen tomorrow! Stay dry.

Christmas window

Hard to believe it is already time for Christmas. We finally did our window. It is always so pretty to see the lights at night in the window. The Jacket that you see is down- this is a champagne color but it also comes in black. small- xlarge. Really warm and cozy plus everyone looks stylish and great in it. price 375.00

Thanksgiving weekend

I can not believe that it is Thanksgiving already! We have wonderful new items in the store. We just got in many new shawls in wonderful designs and colors. We also have great gloves and scarves and berets in all colors and designs. I know- I know- I have to take a picture of all of this so you can see them...  that is next on my list. The items start at $20.00 and go up to less than $200.00. So we really have quite a lot of well priced things for Christmas. We also got in some winter snow boots that retail for $135.00 fully waterproof fuzzy and warm.

skin cream

 Now that the season is changing and the nights are getting cooler you may need some hand cream to keep your skin feeling smooth. The best cream that we have is made by Olivina and comes in lemon, olive, lavender, and fig scents. It has an olive base - rich and creamy leaving the skin feeling smooth and smells wonderful!  Cost is $16.00

OK- So I did need help taking photo's for the site. This is a picture of one of our best selling shirts by Jill McGowan the shirt is called Astrid and comes in many different fabrics. Depending on the fabric you choose will depend on the price. It starts at $150.00. Has a stand up collar is a full cut through the body. sizes XS--XL- A great shirt! 

the task ahead

So... we are getting closer to having the Website up and running... maybe by Thanksgiving it will be available. Which is exciting. But for now we have to take pictures of all the things we want to put on the sight... hmmm...We are going to do that this weekend- I hope- but if we fail we will call Sarah who knows much more than we do and says it is easy. Sarah is creating our site which is looking really  good I might add.

Michelangelo

we just got into the store the new book from John T. Spike- it is an amazing historical account of Michelangelo's young life. With incredible illustrations. It is a wonderful book to give as a gift to anyone who is interested in the history of art. You may wonder why we are selling this book - well we do sell many things that are Italian or relate to Italy- it is true those things are mostly related to fashion but...  he is my brother-in-law!

We got so many wonderful new fall things in the store. Friday I spent all day unpacking boxes... of course it was that really stormy day so- it kept me busy.  Along with all the other boxes I got in I also had two boxes of Jill McGowan shirts and dresses. The fabrics are amazing - beautiful to look at and they feel great on. But most important you feel beautiful in them.

it was fun to see our website get started. After 25 years of having a store [which we still do!]  We are learning how to set up a website and work on a blog ... I think I am going to like this.
